Meet Dr. Jean-Max Jean-Pierre
Utilizing the latest technology and treatment modalities, Dr. Jean-Pierre is dedicated to providing excellent periodontal care to his patients within a very comfortable environment.
Dr. Jean-Pierre received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College, in 2003 where he was recognized by the award for outstanding achievement in Periodontics. He went on to complete his periodontal specialty training at the University of Tennessee, Memphis in 2006 where he received his Certificate of Specialty in Periodontics and his Masters of Dental Science degree. He established the Periodontal Care Center in July of 2006.
Dr. Jean-Pierre is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, which certifies that he is a periodontist who has made significant achievements beyond the mandatory educational requirements of the specialty.
Dr. Jean-Pierre is an associate professor in the Department of Periodontics at Meharry Medical College. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the National Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Tennessee Association of Periodontists, Southern Academy of Periodontology, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Meet the Staff
Hayley
Hayley is one of Dr. Jean-Pierre’s registered dental assistants. She has current certification in dental radiology, nitrous oxide monitoring and CPR. Hayley has 10 years of experience in the dental field. In addition to chairside assisting, her cross-training includes experience with all aspects of front office management, allowing her to provide our patients with the best care possible.
Traci
Traci has been a registered dental assistant since 1999. She graduated from a dental program in Nashville, TN. She holds certificates in radiology, CPR, coronal polishing, sealants and nitrous oxide monitoring. Traci has educated many students in our surrounding schools on the basics of oral hygiene. She is so excited to be a part of the Periodontal Care Center team.
Shemekia
Shemekia is one of the Periodontal Care Center’s assistants. She went to school at Remington College in
Nashville. Shemekia is certified in dental radiology, nitrous oxide monitoring, CPR, and digital dental
photography. She is an Air Force Veteran and also has years of customer service experience in the retail
and financial services industries.
Betty
Betty Hardy Hines has had an exciting and creative career as a Dental Hygienist for 38 years. While still practicing, Betty found time to become an Image Consultant, appear in Colgate’s “Bright Smile Bright Future” video, teach and give many lectures. If you ask what drives her, she will tell you it’s “God”. Her objective is to always pursue new challenges in educating patients on the advances in Preventive Dentistry.
Tania
Tania is our Treatment Coordinator. She will be at the front desk to warmly greet you and make you feel comfortable. As a dental professional since 1999, Tania has cross-trained as a dental assistant and is certified in CPR. Tania has many years in the customer service field and believes that, “Our patients are our priority!”
